When oil crashed in the early eighties we had a client who was happy because office space was so abundant in Dallas he leased offices in a new building and the first six months were free. It helped but his oil company still went under because Reagan found crashing the petroleum market was a good way to bankrupt the USSR. It worked but we lost more than 1/3 of all of our clients; independent oil men. It was a blow to us and the USSR. Still glad the Soviet Union is gone.
